Atlas Copco strives to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
We have developed award winning HIV/AIDS or wellness programs in countries where diseases have an impact on employees and the local community. In Africa, for example, our HIV/AIDS program spans nine countries through collaborations with the Swedish Workplace HIV/AIDS Program (SWHAP). The program focuses on confidential testing, treatment and counseling and as a result, no one who joined the program has later tested positive for HIV/AIDS.
Competence development is essential to employee satisfaction, which is measured at least every second year in a global employee survey
Increasing diversity in both nationality and gender is another goal. Local recruitment results in a workforce comprising all cultures, religions and nationalities. Approximately two-thirds of all senior managers are employed locally.
The work to increase the proportion of women in management positions is continuing. The Pleiades network strives to give our female employees the possibility to grow and develop through cross-functional, divisional and national interaction with other women in the Group. To further support diversity, our Group policy states that recruiting managers must have at least one female candidate when recruiting external candidates to positions where a university degree is required.
