New 3-ton hydraulic breaker from Atlas Copco with PowerAdapt

At Bauma 2010 Atlas Copco launches the new  hydraulic breaker model HB 3100 with PowerAdapt and optimized box design.

The PowerAdapt system shuts down the hydraulic breaker in case the oil pressure is too high. Torsten Treger, Product Line Manager Medium & Heavy Breakers explains: „Hydraulic breakers can generally be hydraulically overloaded if the carrier’s oil pressure has the wrong setting. We have equipped the entire range of heavy-duty hydraulic breakers with PowerAdapt, in order to ensure maximum efficiency and power for our customers”.
The improved box system provides a better stability and resistance. „Hydraulic breakers are subject to tough operating conditions,“ Treger adds. „For instance ournew retaining bar that provides a better protection especially in the lower part of the hydraulic breaker which has to take a lot of wear and tear.“
With its service weight of approximately 3.150 kg the HB 3100 can be attached to carriers of the 30 to 52-ton class.
All proven features of Atlas Copco’s heavy-duty breaker range are found in the new HB 3100: the VibroSilenced System to protect against noise and vibrations, AutoControl to adapt the blow frequency and impact energy to the rock hardness as well as the integrated automatic lubrication system ContiLube ™ II. With StartSelect the operator can influence the starting and shutdown behaviour of the hydraulic breaker. And with the optional DustProtector the hydraulic breaker is protected against dust and rock particles penetrating the lower breaker part.
